Well, ok it's not my desk either... it's my dining table. I bought this batch of vintage knitting needles off ebay a while ago and I've just pulled them out to check the sizes so I can knit a scarf for his truly.Also, I tagged along to a vintage motorcycle swap on sunday... token girl again. I was there to take photos and document bikes and just generally enjoy my sunday morning. I'm not bitter, I did have a good time. I was quite lucky for three reasons: 1. I found a supercool motorcycle jacket for fifty bucks (bargain!), 2. I found a lovely vintage tin to store my pins in, and 3. I found this beauty! A cute little suitcase, look at its gorgeous paper lining... it cost me $2.50!!!
Then I became quite tired of looking at carbuettors... so we went to the pub for lunch.

it's great how something not-so-good (ie motorbike thingy) turns into something great (ie awesome $2.50 suitcase).
i had a similar situation recently - i got a flat tyre on the way to work, so had to walk there and home again, but then on the way home i found an excellent old mauve bike as part of council clean up!
