My beautiful fruit salad rose. It smells just like fruit salad. Delicious.
Can you believe that gorgeous peachy colour couldn't be found with the dropper in photoshop. 
It's an all an illusion of a gazillion other peachy colours hanging out together.


I keep falling off the colour wagon. But, I'm here today. Next week though... who can say.

The Hydrangeas are slowly fading. I do like how they age, the yellowing gives them an antique look. That's what I think anyway. I could just be waffling on, it's most likely actually.

It seems it's been almost six months since I've done a colour post. Let's fix that right here and now.
Our lovely passionfruit vines have been gifting us with pretty flowers and lots of sweet fruit lately. Not a single passionfruit has made it to the kitchen yet, all have been enjoyed out in the yard. I must snaffle some without the husband noticing so I can make passionfruit curd. Yum!

Our weeping mulberry is beginning to shoot. Each year it gifts us a small bowl full of delicious berries. The rich red in the background is blurred pavers. Don't they bring a lovely autumn feel to the photo.

A little snapshot from 6:30 this morning. 

I was up before the little man & was out before the rain came. 

Standing under the tea trees, I gazed through my half open eyes at the beauty of the morning. The sun crept over the hills & cast a gentle glow over the endless green. 

Every colour you could ever imagine, nature gives to us. It all changes with the ever changing light of the sun. From the softest pastels in a sunrise, to the brightest neons in a summer sunset, the moody shades as night sets & the bold of hues of noon. 

I'm so entranced by colour, I love it. I love capturing it through photography, studying it & creating little palettes. They inspire many other parts of my work. I hope they inspire you too.

Our internet has retreated to the time of the dinosaurs & is highly lacking in the speed department. Hence this post is being uploaded from our lovely local community centre. I'll see you next week when the ice has melted.

Terribly sorry for rehashing an image from Saturday past, but how lovely is this rose. Sadly it fell away, as roses do. Lucky for me (& you too) I can now look at it as I please, regardless of the season.

Did you know this is my 699th post?!?! I feel a bit like a sitting duck, afraid to move over to 700. Gosh it's almost been 4 years too. I'm so happy to have started this blog. It's the best diary I've ever kept, one that I've actually kept up to date. With pictures & all. Hurrah!

Perhaps I'll do a celebratory post... but then again I may totally forget, or be too distracted. I'm a mother with a Huckle. I'm a very busy (said with a quite matter-of-fact tone & a cheeky glint in my eye). 

I shall leave it to the universe to decide. Sir Universe, you have precisely 24 hours to make my mind up for me, don't dilly dally.

Another whole week has past with no words. There will be words soon. I'm caught up in the living & not really bothering to say much about it. Everything is well & good. I've been super productive on the crafty front & will try to post my trials & tribulations tomorrow. I hope everything is happy in your world & if you're in Victoria, I do hope you're lapping up this gorgeous sunshine.

I'm here. I'm just struggling to catch the gazillion thoughts rushing through my head. It seems that they are only coherent the minute I try to fall asleep. Do I sleep, or write? Hmmmm... I'll sleep thanks. But I think I'll have to choose "write" soon or my head might explode! 

I've also fallen behind on the email & phone call front. So if you're beginning to think I'm super rude... I promise I'm not trying to be. I'm just a tad overwhelmed & very slack. Feel free to give me a friendly (or not so friendly) kick up the bum.

Oooh, I did warn you... autumn leaves again. 

I took this photo when I first moved to Melbourne 7 1/2 years ago. I lived in Carlton & walked through the Carlton gardens every day. I fell in love with Autumn & the great change that it brings. The crackle of leaves under my feet, the skeletal form the trees developed, the fresh chill in the air & the wrapping of the scarf around my neck. 

Coming from Queensland this was all so very novel.
