mixtogether

What a great way to spend an afternoon. Saturday was all about the craft fo me, I was attendending mixtogether that afternoon & I was yet to make my gift. So I spent the morning in the studio whipping together a bag made from my fabrics in my stash. I used a linen remnant found at an oppy, a vintage pillowcase, some leather bought at camberwell market & some vintage buttons. I was so happy with the result, I'm going to make a few more. Sharon received my gift & I do hope she likes it. It was filled with a doodle book, a small concertina book in the same fabric as the bag lining, a selection of fabric pieces & a mix of colourful buttons.
I received a lovely parcel from Nichola, a wonderful pack to help me look after myself this winter. It included a bright & spotty mini tote, a hot water bottle with matching cover, a matching lavender heat pack, some calico satchets for milk bath, a beeswax candle & a beautiful card. All handmade by the lovely lady herself (except the hot water bottle of course). Thankyou Nichola, it will all go to good use.
Thanks to the wonderful Mixtape ladies, keep up the great work.

I love the leather straps that you used on your bag....they combine really well with the vintage print.
