my creative space...

Alright, hold onto your hats... here is proof that crafty things have been happening. No more photos of fluffy little ducks, although they are pretty cute.
I've been working away on a crochet ripple blanket. It's a bit of a head spin for the first row, but I've now found a rhythm to the ripple & I'm flying through. Everytime I finish a colour, I stop & admire my handiwork. I think back to 2 years ago when first learning to crochet, all knots & tangles... the lovely Jess was very patient.
I always think it's so important to be proud of your own acheivements. It makes us happy about ourselves, which then leads to happiness in other parts of our lives. Do you agree?
This lovely blanket is of course for our babe. The wool is from bendigo woollen mills.
Also on the creative front, a cot quilt made from the below fabrics. These were scored at amitie on friday. I'm still deciding on the layout. I think I'll try & keep it simple, that way I'll finish it faster. If I make it too complicated I might put myself off. With only 5 odd weeks to go... simple it is.
Check out Kirsty's for more creative spaces.

Hehe, look at you go now- Ms Ripple Blanket, it's a hard thing to learn, and I'm so pleased you've stuck with it ( I'm not sure I was the best teacher.)

Looks fab! I so want to ripple, but can't bring myself to start.
And saying "hold onto your hats" made me think of my dad, he always used to say that just before he sped through an orange traffic light :P

I love your ripple blanket - the colours are divine. I've had ripplin' on my to-do list for a while now - you've inspired me to bump it up the list :) Your quilt fabric choices are fabulous. Have fun making. K

I;d be happy if I could manage a basic crochet chain. I've still not managed to master it. The ripple blanket looks gorgeous and your choice of colours is exquisite. It looks so good.

Be proud and be happy. I totally agree with your philosophy.
