I forgot to tell you that I've finished the ripple blanket!
Here it is in all it's ripply glory.
It really does feel like a great accomplishment, I thought I'd be going for years.
I guess, with all this spare time on my hands at the moment, one must keep themselves entertained.
It's about a metre squared, which is hopefully a good size to be used for all manner of things.
I'm halfway through piecing the cot quilt top, maybe I'll finish that in time too. All depending on how long he wants to stay in there. Hopefully not too much longer, it's getting very uncomfortable. I'm sure it's not too flash for him either, so come on little fella.

It is beautiful! I made Cohen a multicolour ripple too. They are so lovely. It hangs over the rocking chair in his room and is great for throwing over his little sleeping body when the temperature drops, o for grabbing and taking out on to the lawn, or popping in the pram on a windy day. I'm sure your ripple will have an adventurous life too.
Hang in there. The last few weeks with Cohen felt like forever! Then I went into labour on his due date. :)

I'm not a crocheter / knitter bit I understand ripple blankets are up there with granny squares for time consuming and loads of ends to weave in.

Oh, stunning! I am teaching myself how to knit, and just finished a neck wrap for my daughter (you know a short scarf with a button or two, to fasten at the front... not sure of their actual name! Just need a groovy, cute vintage button now!) and I am very proud that I taught myself purl, LOL!! Maybe one day I will be as talented as you...
Well done! I love the ripple affect, I think you have inspired me to have a go at one myself. Is it easy to do once you get the hang of it? I need a no thinking type project, not one where I have to count or concentrate too much. Your baby is going to be as snug as a bug..in a rug! xo
