wool & warmth...

I'm a big fan of Bendigo Woollen Mills. Order online, free postage, quick delivery, 200gm balls, gorgeous colours, huge range... need I say more.
These beauties arrived yesterday. They're from the highlands range, which is quite a good name I think. Because it's bloody cold in the highlands & it's bloody cold here too.
This lovely yarn shall soon become a lumberjack beanie for Samuel & a chunky scarf or cowl for me. Crocheted of course. If I were to knit, they wouldn't be finished til next winter! This shall keep me entertained for the weekend. If you're looking for me, I'll be in my usual spot. On the couch, in front of the fire, tea cup & hook in hand.
I hope your weekend is equally lovely.

I just open samples of these in my mail yesterday! I love the look of them and can't wait to see how they work up! I'm sure I'll be adding some to my next order. Have fun using them!

The highlands wool is just beautiful to knit with, so soft. I am making my daughter a cabled hoodie which hopefully I shall finish soon. I really like the cinder color and the light color too. I have the red one and just love it. I am sure it wouldnt take too long to knit a hat up - I unlike you cant crochet to save myself although I would love to learn how to do those granny square stitch beanies!

Sounds perfect. Move over and make some room for me. Oh and mind my elbows while I'm hooking along beside you. XX

I do so love their lovely wool. Those balls of wool look so cosy there. Sounds like you have the perfect spot to make the most of them.
Have a great weekend!

I've recently jumped on the Bendigo train, I don't know what took me so long. They are fabulous xo

It's funny how you think knitting takes forever and I have the same perception about crochet. Though I did decide to tackle something crochet sometime this year, just to see. :)

I have recently bought some beautiful cashmerino yarn from Debbie Bliss which feels fantastic. I'm making it into a scarf for hubby, but he better watch out for it, as I'm pretty fond of it!
