A friend of mine discovered crochet last year & I think she's getting pretty good at it. So for her birthday, I whipped her up a crochet hook roll. Well, I didn't exactly whip it up... I sort of just did a few minutes here & there over the course of a few days. This time I used padded interfacing, so it's not as cushiony or as bulky as mine (I only had wool wadding when I made mine). I found this sweet book on fishpond for her too, I think I'll have to borrow it off her some time.

What a beautiful gift. Lucky friend.
Pretty fabrics!
I totally need something like that for my knitting needles and stuff. I had a dream last night about my grandmother and all her knitting stuff, and woke up with storage envy. :)
kitty how lovely is that! What a thoughtful gift. Glad you are having some time to make things!
What a lovely thoughtful gift you have for her. A crochet hook roll is on my very long list to do and I too have that book and love the projects. x
What a fantastic crochet roll. I have the knitted version of that book full of wonderful baby patterns.
what a gorgeous gift. She will love it xo
That is such a gorgeous gift Kitty. I often say how lost I would be without the hook roll up thing Leonie made me.
You should totally make the wrap. It is easy peasy.
What a great idea, righto I'm off to make one too!
I think that it's kind of you to give that present to her, so lovely!!
It reminds me when I was in Argentina last summer. I was staying in an apartment in Buenos Aires and I met Monica there and we become friends. Before I leave, she gave me an argentinian recipes book that she made for me cause I loved their food. Isn't it nice??
