Yesterday we listened to several Byrds albums, cooked up a big brekkie, lazed about on couch, went wandering down chapel st to buy me this globe that I saw on wednesday but couldn't get it out of my mind, so I had to buy it. I love globes & have never bought one til now, so I'm quite excited.
After that we went to borders for a browse, where I perused the craft & cookery sections & bought frankie magazine.
Then back home to do some mag reading on the couch. I then cooked up a storm. Parsnip & cauliflower soup for dinner, I didn't have a recipe so I just made it up, & for dessert... Apple Jalousie! You just stew some apples and place them in puff pastry with the top cut like so, then in the oven til golden. Delicious!
Watched a few episodes of the long way down, then off to an early sleep to catch up for the week.
Such a good day, I am very thankful for Sundays.

Hey wow! Last night I made exactly the same dessert... but with stewed quince instead of apple! Looked the same and everything. Weird!
